One of our staff girls went to campus wanting to meet new students, so she brought cookies to several girls in one of the dorms and ended up meeting 8 new girls that are also interested in coming to our fashion & faith event on February 1st, Sun Devils Wear Prada! One of our staff guys and a HOPE student were in a dorm this week and looked out over the SRC Field to watch a soccer game. They started talking about the game and commenting on the goalie, and then left to head to another part of campus. A few minutes later the soccer goalie comes up behind the guys! The HOPE student had a great conversation with the goalie, and it ends up that he wants to come to church with the guys this week!
Some of our guys had a conversation about the Bible this week with a student who really just wanted to argue his own world view. Our staff guy showed the student some Bible verses; long story short, that student got excited about what he read and wants to meet again to find out more of what the Bible says!
